In the following sections of this Remarkety review, we’ll analyze each feature in detail. You can compare these with your requirements to see if Remarkety is the right solution.

Ease of getting started ★★★☆☆

Getting started with Remarkety is relatively straightforward.  The initial signup process is simple and brief. You can even kick off a 14-day free trial without needing a credit card upfront.

Remarkety’s interface looks modern and aesthetically pleasing. However, it lacks some visual intuitiveness and clarity found in competing platforms.

Once you’re inside the platform, you might find it a bit overwhelming to set up your first campaign.

Remarkety has a lot of options and menus. Unfortunately, they aren’t well explained or organized, so it’s easy to get lost.

For example, the difference between Sequences and Automations in the menu isn’t clear. Changing the sender’s email address isn’t very straightforward either.

Remarkety has a low barrier to entry, but a high learning curve. You may need time and guidance to get familiar with the interface and its functionality.

Building an email campaign ★★★★☆

Building campaigns in Remarkety can feel overwhelming at first. This is due to crowded, busy email campaign wizard.

On a single page, you must fill out the following and more all at once:

  • Subject line
  • Sender details
  • Recipient segmentation
  • Campaign settings
  • Coupon settings

This step can feel burdensome, as there are many options and settings on the same page. We had to scroll a lot to find what we needed.

The interface lacks some intuitiveness and visual organization compared to other email builders. However, you can get the hang of it after some practice.

Meanwhile, Remarkety’s drag-and-drop email builder stands out more positively. It has ample customization capabilities with a decent range of options, including:

  • Pre-designed templates for newsletters, automated emails, and SMS
  • Customizable text, images, buttons
  • Color, font, and styling options

Remarkety offers around 20 templates spanning newsletters, automated emails, and SMS blasts. The designs are generally attractive if not all cutting-edge modern.

One unique and valuable feature is Remarkety’s extensive built-in coupon functionality. No other major email marketing platform provides such robust options.

Still, some elements are missing. These include a dedicated product content block and simplified product upload from stores. Interactive content blocks like surveys and carousels are also absent. This can limit the range of possibilities for content diversity.

The general email-building experience feels busier compared to some competing platforms. These offer more visual organization and simplicity for beginners.

However, Remarkety provides the tools to create compelling, customized campaigns. You just have to get over the initial learning curve.

Marketing automation ★★★☆☆

Remarkety offers two ways to send automated messages: Automations and Sequences.

Automations are more developed. They’re 10 ready-to-use templates for common scenarios, such as:

  • Welcome emails
  • Abandoned carts
  • Order follow-ups
  • Feedback requests

But the Automations interface could be more intuitive and user-friendly. It can be confusing and frustrating to set up and edit your workflows.

Sequences are still in beta and have some glitches.

Nonetheless, they have better usability. Their drag-and-drop editor makes it easier to create and customize your workflows.

Sequences don’t have any templates yet, so you have to build everything from scratch.

Regarding the integration of marketing channels, Remarkety primarily focuses on email and SMS options.

However, the Sequences feature takes a step forward. It allows the integration of other marketing channels into workflows, enhancing cross-channel communication. These channels include Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

Remarkety’s automation capabilities have potential. But this is once the Sequences tool gets polished and integrated into the rest of the platform.

Companies looking for advanced, seamless automation across channels may want to look elsewhere. But Remarkety covers the basics well for stores focused on email and SMS workflows.

Signup forms and landing pages ★★☆☆☆

One area where Remarkety falls short is its lack of pre-built signup form templates.

The popup form builder is very unintuitive, with no drag-and-drop WYSIWYG editing. You must build forms from scratch with many complex settings. So, while form customization flexibility is good, convenience is lacking.

Additionally, there are no built-in analytics for tracking form performance.

You can’t track how many visitors see your popup, or how many of them subscribe. This makes it hard to optimize your signup forms and test different strategies.

Remarkety also doesn’t offer landing page capabilities.

You can’t create and host landing pages within Remarkety itself. This makes list building more challenging without easy landing page creation to capture leads.

However, Remarkety integrates with your website to embed signup forms once created. But it lacks a direct form publishing feature to websites. Non-technical users might find the manual copy-and-paste process for code insertion inefficient.

List Management

Remarkety’s list management looks sufficient and pretty standard, which is good from a usability perspective.

The Contacts section contains a lot of information that can be helpful, such as:

  • Contact status
  • Segments
  • Activity
  • Source
  • Tags

However, its visual presentation looks heavy and cluttered.

Moreover, like Mailerlite, Remarkety mandates team approval for account activation, and it can extend up to 48 hours. This precaution is implemented for security reasons, but it can be inconvenient for users seeking immediate campaign deployment.

Segmentation ★★★★★

Remarkety provides robust segmentation options to target customers. It offers seven pre-built audiences covering common and valuable customer segments like:

  • Lapsed customers, and VIP’s
  • Active non-purchasers
  • Prospects
  • Recent buyers
  • Inactive subscribers
  • At-risk customers

Beyond these presets, you can create highly customized segments using expansive criteria, including:

  • Contact info
  • Order details
  • Website activity
  • Purchase history
  • Campaign engagement
  • Loyalty program status

Remarkety’s flexible segmentation will please even advanced ecommerce marketers. Criteria cover every angle to drill down on your ideal customers. This includes:

  • Dates
  • Spend
  • Channel
  • Products
  • Engagement
  • Demographics

Remarkety’s segmentation capabilities shine as a standout feature. They offer a wealth of options and predefined segments to enhance marketing strategies.

We didn’t find it missing or lacking aspects in this regard. The tool seems to cover all the bases when it comes to segmentation. It provides the advanced targeting needed for personalized, impactful campaigns.

Analytics ★★★★☆

Remarkety provides ample campaign analytics covering key metrics. These include the following:

  • Emails sent
  • Unsubscribes
  • Order numbers
  • Revenue generated
  • Open and click rates
  • Bounce and spam rates

SMS campaign reporting is also robust. However, some more advanced analytics seen in leading marketing platforms are absent. For instance, there are no in-depth data such as:

  • Geolocation reports
  • Segmented behavioral insights
  • Heatmaps

Despite these omissions, Remarkety’s existing analytics suite can suffice for most small businesses. Its reporting covers the core metrics most small ecommerce businesses need. It offers valuable insights into campaign effectiveness and customer engagement.

For simple campaign performance tracking, Remarkety delivers what’s essential. It’s not for those who need more granular and comprehensive data, though.

Customer support ★★★★★

Remarkety emphasizes a customer-centric approach. This is evident in the array of support options available to users.

The platform provides email and live chat support at all plan levels. Phone support is available for the higher-tier plans. These channels ensure quick assistance across all customers.

Additionally, customers get a dedicated account manager starting from the Starter plan. This manager helps them with:

  • Setting up campaigns
  • Optimizing performance
  • Resolving issues

There are also ample educational resources like tutorials and guides. Others include webinars, blog posts, case studies, and FAQs.

Both dedicated account management and abundant learning materials provide personalized and self-serve help.

Overall, Remarkety support options are responsive, helpful, and personalized.

Integrations ★★★★★

Remarkety offers seamless integration with all major ecommerce platforms through one-click installs.

These include Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and other popular platforms. It also connects to proprietary systems via custom APIs.

Beyond ecommerce, Remarkety integrates with hundreds of marketing, analytics, and automation tools. This is possible through Zapier. A one-click integration process allows connecting Remarkety workflows across platforms without coding.

Notable direct integrations include:

  • Facebook/Instagram ad targeting
  • Nosto’s personalization engine
  • Wheelio’s gamified coupons
  • Smile.io’s loyalty programs
  • Yotpo’s reviews
  • Privy’s popups

With Remarkety, you can leverage integrations to boost performance and revenue.

Compatibility with other marketing channels ★★★★★

Beyond email, Remarkety integrates with additional digital marketing channels. You can build SMS campaigns for subscribers who opt-in to texts. You can also integrate with Facebook Ads to retarget your email audience.

Yet, Remarkety lacks deep integrations with other channels. These include push notifications and advanced omnichannel orchestration between touchpoints.

Businesses wanting tighter coordination across multiple channels may need to look elsewhere.

Remarkety Email pricing plans ★★★☆☆

Remarkety’s pricing sits in the mid-range, competitive with other feature-packed email marketing platforms. Remarkety is affordable for small businesses yet robust enough for larger ecommerce stores.

What can you get for free?

Remarkety doesn’t offer a free plan, only a 14-day free trial. You can send newsletters and automated emails and enjoy access to premium features. But you must upgrade to a paid subscription to keep using it long-term.

Paid plans offering

Remarkety has three main paid plans:

  • Email
  • SMS
  • Email & SMS

Each plan’s pricing varies based on the size of your email list and the features you need. Remarkety’s tiered pricing structure caters to businesses of varying sizes. Custom quotes are available for contact lists exceeding 250,000.

Remarkety’s pricing is consistently more expensive than leading competitors across all subscriber tiers. It lacks a forever-free plan and carries premium pricing even for smaller email lists.

It’s important to note that Brevo charges per email sent, not the number of subscribers. This may be suitable for businesses that send fewer emails.

Shopify Email also charges per the number of emails above a certain threshold. This is attractive for businesses with large subscriber numbers but send fewer emails on a monthly basis.

Ultimately, your choice depends on what your business needs.

Remarkety review: Wrap up

As we conclude this Remarkety review, we have presented a comprehensive overview of all its features based on our experience.

The platform stands out with robust segmentation and compatibility with diverse marketing channels. But our Remarkety review shows it has a heavy interface and lacks intuitiveness. This translates to a steep learning curve before entirely using the tool.

Our final verdict? Advanced marketers may desire more sophisticated features and seamless cross-channel orchestration. Tools like Omnisend better serve businesses that need a more comprehensive marketing platform.
